Arvada Colorado

A great house in Arvada Colorado needed window cleaning.

A little history: of about the area:

The City has a good web site with a lot of government and local event information.

In 1870, the Colorado Central Railroad laid tracks through the area on its route from Golden to link up with the Kansas Pacific Railroad and the Denver Pacific Railroad at Jersey Junction, 3 miles (5 km) north of Denver. On December 1, 1870, Benjamin F. Wadsworth and Louis A. Reno platted the Ralston Point townsite along the railroad.

To avoid confusion with other communities along Ralston Creek, Ralston Point was soon renamed Arvada in honor of Hiram Arvada Haskin, brother-in-law of settler Mary Wadsworth.

When working I get to see above the tree line!

Westminster Colorado

This week I completed a 3 story commercial building in Westminster Colorado.

Some facts about Westminster: Gold discovered in the South Platte River Valley in 1858 brought national attention to the area that would become Westminster, Colorado. The promise of fortune and the Land Act of 1862 encouraged many settlers from the east to make Colorado their home instead of heading on to California. Before the settlements came, wildlife like antelope and buffalo made their homes in this area.

The area experienced a huge population growth starting from 1950.  See the chart below:

Aurora Colorado

Great view from the roof of this Aurora Colorado home, on the golf course.

One of the little known facts about Aurora is that in 1979, it was announced that a science fiction theme park would be built in Aurora using the sets of a 50-million dollar film based on the fantasy novel Lord of Light. However, due to legal problems the project was never completed.

The script of the unmade film project, renamed Argo, was used as cover for the "Canadian Caper": the exfiltration of six U.S. diplomatic staff trapped by the Iranian hostage crisis.

Argo went on to win three Academy awards. Aurora never got the theme park!

Castle Pines Colorado

Great House in Castle Pines:

Window Cleaning in Castle Pines Colorado

Last week I did the windows in a house in Castle Pines. This is a great city, close to Denver, but has a great outdoors feel.

Castle Pines Colorado is situated 19 miles (31 km) south-southeast of the Colorado State Capitol in Denver. The city is located north of the Castle Pines Golf Club and the unincorporated community of Castle Pines Village.   Castle Pines is located at 39°28′18″N 104°53′41″W (39.471742, -104.894827) at an elevation of 6,368 feet (1,941 m). Located on Interstate 25 in central Colorado, Castle Pines is 20 mi (32 km) south of downtown Denver and 43 mi (69 km) north of Colorado Springs.

The city lies in the Colorado Piedmont on the western edge of the Great Plains.[10] Happy Canyon Creek runs north-northeast through the western part of the city, and Newlin Gulch and its tributary, South Newlin Gulch, run north-northeast and north, respectively, through the eastern part of the city. All three streams are part of the Cherry Creek watershed.

According to the United States Census Bureau, Castle Pines has a total area of 9.01 square miles (23.3 km2), all of it land. Lying within the Front Range Urban Corridor, the city is part of the greater Denver metropolitan area,

and it borders two communities to its south: Castle Pines Village and Castle Rock, the county seat.

The occupational composition of the employed civilian labor force was: 58.3% in management, business, science, and arts; 28.7% in sales and office occupations; 7.6% in service occupations; 4.6% in production, transportation, and material moving; 0.8% in natural resources, construction, and maintenance. The three industries employing the largest percentages of the working civilian labor force were: educational services, health care, and social assistance (17.1%); professional, scientific, and management, and administrative and waste management services (16.7%); and finance and insurance, and real estate and rental and leasing (14.5%). The median home value in the city was $457,500,

I Love My Customers!

I really love my customers.   I am appreciative of the opportunity they give me to contribute to the upkeep of their lovely  homes.

Sometimes they do  something special that really shows their appreciation, and really helps my business.  Here are two occasions.

To Patricia W. who was the first to post to my Yelp Page.  She wrote,

Todd  on a customers roof!
"Todd is fast, efficient and honest.  Our gutters were overfilled and honestly with the past rain fall we've been having, it was like watching Niagara Falls off our roof!  Todd came highly recommended by a neighbor and so I'm passing on the recommendation."

And to Dave S.  He was kind enough to post 2 reviews! See below,

"In my initial review, after the first time I worked with Todd, I stated how he had told me that if I needed him to come back in the Spring, he would do that at no charge.  He called it part of his warranty!  I was somewhat skeptical of this, but when I called Todd earlier this week, he was here the following day.  He cleaned out all the gutters and downspouts (just in time to beat the storm) and did a great job of cleaning up afterward as well.  And as he told me when he was here the first time, there was not charge for this appointment! I cannot recommend more highly.  He's principled, honest and very hard working."

Initial Review

"Todd showed up exactly at the time we had scheduled.  I have never had anyone spend as much time as Todd did in cleaning out our gutters.  In the past, there would be a team of 3 or 4 workers, and be done in 15 minutes or so...and often I would have to make sure they got the down spouts cleaned, cleaned up the yard after, etc.  Todd was so efficient, and was here for about an hour and twenty minutes.  He did an excellent job, got all of the downspouts blown out, and cleaned up everything from the roof that was on our lawn.  I would highly recommend Todd to anyone looking to get their gutters cleaned.  And he told me that if the gutters got clogged again, in the Spring , (this was done at the end of November), that he would come back and clean them out at no extra charge.  He said it was part of his warranty! Great job!"

Again Thank You!!!  for taking the time to post.
